Welcome to my world of needle felting, where creativity and care come together. My journey began with the simplest of creations — tiny felted mice. What started as a small hobby quickly turned into a passion. With every new technique I tried, I fell more and more in love with the craft.

Life took an unexpected turn in 2023, when illness forced me to slow down. As a busy working mom, that was not easy. Yet needle felting became my safe place — a way to quiet my thoughts and focus on something joyful. Each stab of the needle felt grounding, a moment of peace when I needed it most.

Encouraged by friends and family, I opened an Etsy shop. I’ll never forget the thrill of sending my first creation abroad. It showed me how creativity connects people everywhere. Soon I dreamed of my own online space, free from platform limits, where I could share not only my creations but also everything beginners need to start felting with confidence.

That’s how my kits came to life: boxes filled with carefully chosen European wool, clear step-by-step instructions, and a touch of joy. I test everything myself so I know it truly works. Along the way, I also started giving local workshops, meeting other crafters face-to-face — something that always inspires me.

Today, I’m proud that The Wool Family is not just about products, but also about people. Together with Gijs en Brechtje Dagbesteding, a day program for young adults with intellectual disabilities, we pack the kits with care. Every order carries a bit of that collaboration — a piece of social entrepreneurship that makes my work even more meaningful.

Away from wool and needles, I’m a wife, mom of three daughters, and proud dog mom to Harry, our forever muddy Labrador (yes, the Potterhead reference is no coincidence!). My daytime role is working as an advisor in local government.

Thank you for being here and for taking the time to read my story. I hope that my kits, wools, and creations bring you as much joy as needle felting has brought me — and maybe inspire you to start your own journey with wool.
